Comfort Analytics was founded by Aaron Hansen who was a senior member of the team that developed the Niagara AX platform. He was responsible for many services from cryptography and scheduling to protocol drivers such as oBIX and OPC. While at Tridium he chaired the oBIX XML Standards committee at OASIS that produced the oBIX specification.

After the Honeywell acquisition of Tridium, Aaron joined the executive team at Controlco and helped build their software arm, CSI Cubed. Their principal product was DataEye, an analytic and diagnostic engine that helped Niagara scale far beyond the typical project. DataEye was acquired by Tridium in 2014 and is now called the Niagara Analytics Framework.
